Description: Patients who present with missing teeth and with terminal dentitions often have teeth that have drifted, occlusions that have adapted to the missing teeth and these cases can be difficult for any Dentist to plan. Areas with missing teeth often have less that ideal space distribution and have tissue loss.
Planning treatment on these patients can be complex as both aesthetic and functional factors need to be taken into account.
Digital Smile Design is a tool created by Dr. Christian Coachman that allows commutation between the dentist, patient and technician to achieve predictable aesthetic results.
Digital smile design can be used in implant dentistry to plan, visualize, and communicate in a way that improves the functional and aesthetic outcomes for the patients.
