British Endodontic Society Spring Scientific Meeting 2019.

Venue: One Great George Street, Westminster, London. 
Description: The 2019 Spring Society Meeting of the British Endodontic Society will take place at the Institution of Civil Engineers in Westminster, London. The main topic of the meeting is "Management of Non-Odontogenic Facial Pain". 
The speakers for this year meeting are Dr. Lene Baad-Hansen and Professor Peter Svensson.  
Dr. Lene Baad-Hansen is Associate Professor at the Section of Orofacial Pain and Jaw Function and deputy head of the Department of Dentistry and Oral Health at Aarhus University in Denmark. Dr. Baad-Hansen obtained her PhD degree in 2006. In 2016, she was awarded with the highest academic degree in Denmark, the Doctor of Odontology. She is also the Presiden-elect of the Special Interest Group for Orofacial Pain and Headache under the Internation Association for the Study of Pain.  
Dr. Baad-Hansen will cover two main topics: 
Trigeminal neuropathic pain – mechanisms and management. 
Persistent idiopathic dentoalveolar pain – importance of psychosocial assessment. 
Professor Peter Svensson obtained his PhD degree in 1993 and in 2000 earned the Doctor of Odontology. He is currently Professor and Head Section of Orofacial Pain and Jaw Function at Aarhus University in Denmark. Professor Svensson is appointed guest professor Department of Dental Medicine at Karolinska Institutet in Sweden; which is the best university in the ranking of dental schools in the world.  
Professor Svensson will also cover two main topics during the BES Spring Scientific Meeting 2019: 
Update on classification of orofacial pain and implications for management. 
Temporomandibular disorders and headaches – clinical presentations and diagnostic guidelines.
